Those ARE NOT East LA! Silverlake, Echo Park, are not EAST LA. You totally missed the boat with good East LA Pizza, like the actual EAST L.A. Pizza on Beverly Blvd (90022), or Rio's in Monterey Park, or Petrillo's San Gabriel. None of the above mentioned are East of DOWNTOWN LA. That's Northeast.

ReplyDeleteYou are totally right about East LA. I apologize, non of these places are true East LA. I live in Hollywood, so to me they are east. I am not at the point yet where I can afford to travel way out to true East LA, so even though I know life exists out there, it is unlikely I will review these spots any time soon. Of course if and when I do, I will be sure to change this post to NorthEast LA.

Bottega Louie has very authentic pizza - no slices but great pie for $14. one of the best clam pizzas I have had.
