Vinny's Pizza is a cool bar/restaurant in a quaint little area in downtown El Segundo. It has a great outside patio with TVs and a good beer selection. It also has pizza. Which according to their name, they are known for. So I ordered a large 16 inch pizza for 12 dollars, way cheaper than Stuft Pizza.It is a pretty good looking pizza. It is pretty good tasting too. A quaint little area in downtown El Segundo brings many different eateries. Including a great cheese steak place and 2 pizza places. Down the street from Vinny's Pizza is place called Stuft Pizza. They had slices sitting on a rotating display case, so regretfully I bought one. After you see this pizza, you can guess it is a franchise. They have 6 or so places all over the Southern CA area.

Ameci Pizza is possibly the biggest local chain in Los Angeles.  They have about 50 locations in the greater LA area.  I have to say it tastes like a chain.  It is cheap which is what these places have going for it.  Regular price for a 14'' is $10.  Who really ever pays regular price though, other than me.  Certain days the pizza $7, and I'm sure there is a book of coupons that can be used.

I don't really remember dates so this is not an official anniversary.  But it has been roughly a year since I started this blog, I have compiled a data base of roughly 120 different pies.  I spent about $1,700 last year on pizza alone.  I wasted who knows how many hours writing this stuff and probably gained an extra 20 pounds.  Actually I don't think I gained anything, I still think pizza is

The UCLA campus has a lot of kids who like pizza, so naturally there are a lot of pizza joints to fill their mouths. There is a little area called Westwood Village just south of the campus, where you can find many college aged kids, thus many pizza places, including,  Enzo's,  Lamonica's, and D'Amores.  This is what I call the UCLA big 3.... The is hard place to not like.  It is a local favorite, in West L.A.  Small and family owned since 1975.  With some interesting characters who have worked there forever.  I used to live down the street from DiVita's, and I got it quite a bit.The pizza is pretty good.  I ordered a large cheese (16'') for $15.  I also specified it to be cooked extra crispy.  It made a world of difference.  Still

Across the street from a place called Ravanelli's, is this place, LA Lasagna Co.  Interesting name for a place.  You'd think they would have good Lasagna there.  That is of course not what I got.  Underneath their lasagna title is the sub heading "pasta, pizza, and salad", pizza was second on the list.  So by no means was this place pushing their pizza.  The other thing funny about this place,

This is another typical average pizza.  It will deliver almost anywhere and supposedly very cheap.  Although you have to get the deals they offer.  I ordered a 14 inch pizza and it was 13 dollars plus a couple for a tip.  So for the kind of pizza it is, not cheap.  Unless you have a coupon.  Which in any grocery store would make you an old lady.  This is not the case for pizza however, coupons

Classic Napoletana Pizza. That's what this is, not Middle-America pizza, not deep dish, not even N.Y. style. It is the original pizza, same recipe right from Italy. In fact this place even has some seal of approval from the Italian Pizza Gods. This place was off my pizza radar for the last year.  Unheard of by probably everyone who didn't live within their delivery zone.  Recently it was mentioned in the L.A.
